THANK YOU FOR GOOD IDEAS !

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Director, Mr Traynor of St.Joseph Primary School in Crumlin and his staff for sharing their educational practice and for their wonderful hospitality. Especially to Claire McDonnell for the warm welcome and organising our visit. We learned a lot, gathered wonderful  ideas and are going to put them into practice in our school. Thanks to the director Mr Matthews and Anne O`Sullivan of St. Comgalls Primary School in Antrim for the invitation to your school. Great experiences!

JOB SHADOWING IN ST.JOSEPH`S PRIMARY SCHOOL IN CRUMLIN, THE NORTHERN IRELAND

W dniach 22-27 stycznia 2018 roku pani dyrektor Beata Kosicka – Siwak i panie Małgorzata Łupicka i Barbara Rostecka wyjechały na jobshadowing do partnerskiej szkoły w Irlandii Północnej. Podczas wizyty poznały szkołę, program nauczania, obserwowały pracę swoich kolegów, przyglądały się funkcjonowaniu szkoły, metodom zarządzania placówką i sposobom radzenia sobie z trudnościami. W obu szkołach opowiadano o Polsce, Przemyślu, naszej szkole, a w młodszych klasach legendę o Smoku Wawelskim i uczono krakowiaka.
On January 22-27, 2018, the headteacher Beata Kosicka – Siwak, English teacher Małgorzata Łupicka and school secretary Barbara Rostecka went for a jobshadowing to a partner school in Northern Ireland. During the visit, they got to know the school, the curriculum, watched the work of their colleagues, looked at the school's functioning, methods of managing the institution and how to deal with difficulties. The system of school rewards and motivating students and methods of dealing with noise were interesting and the headteacher is already considering how to introduce some of the ideas to our school. They spent one day at St.Comgall's Primary School in Antrim, where a lot of students of Polish descent are taught. They receive additional language support, and school understands how important it is to maintain parents' language too. In both schools they talked about Poland, Przemyśl, school, and in the younger classes there was a legend about the Wawel Dragon and Krakowiak Dance was taught. They had the chance to see Belfast – capital of Northern Ireland and picturesque Northern Coast. The school in Crumlin and School no 11 in Przemyśl had Comenius partnership in 2006-2009.
